Do I need IELTS for working as a chef or a hospitality professional in the UK?

No , you dont need an English language proficiency test score to work as a chef or hospitality professional in the UK. But for anyone who want to come to the UK on tier 2 visa for a non English speaking country, are required to do an UKVI IEKTS with a score of 4 or above on all modules, there are other exams accepted like Pearson SELT exam. If you are a degree or above holder you dont need an English exam, instead you can apply for UK ECCTIS certification to prove your media of education was English and it is equivalent to CEFR level required for your Visa.

Do I need a professional registration to work as a chef or hospitality professional in the UK?

There is no mandatory registration to a professional body for chefs and other hospitality professionals. Unlike nurses having NMC, Doctors having GMC, radiographers or physiotherapists or occupation health workers having HCPC registration requirement ignorer to work in the UK.

Will my partner / wife / husband be able to work on a tier 2 dependant visa?

Do I need a TB test ?

You are required to present a TB test certificate at the time of visa application, if the country you are applying or had been to a country listed by the UK home office including India.

Do I need a PCC?

You are required to present a police clearance certificate from the current country of work.

How long will it take to reach my employer in the UK ?
